Workshops are organized to discuss topics of a broad interest and confront different perspectives on those topics. The proposed workshop topic for discussion should be clearly related to one or more topics of the conference. A workshop proposal must include an abstract of from 200 to 300 words, which should be sent along with the following information:

· Workshop title;

· Conference topics covered by the workshop;

· Keywords (maximum 6);

· Workshop organizers contacts, including phone number, fax number and email;

· Short Curriculum Vitę (50 to 100 words) for each of the workshop organizers.

Workshop organizers are responsible to elaborate the call for presentations and to select the workshop participants. The workshop participants should be selected to reflect different or even conflicting opinions related with the workshop subject(s). To foster a lively debate, each workshop participant will have a small presentation of his point. After such presentation, all the workshop participants will provide their opinions to clarify the antagonic points of view. The discussion is then open to the audience of the workshop. Workshop organizers have to moderate the workshop program.

Different approaches to workshop program organization must be justified to the QUATIC 2007 Program Committee Chair, who will select, together with the Workshop Chair and amongst all the received proposals, those that will run in QUATIC 2007. Workshop proposals should be sent to the Workshop Chair (Raul Vidal: rmvidal@fe.up.pt).
